Vital Oxide is EPA registered hospital disinfectant cleaner, food surface sanitizer, mold killer, and heavy duty odor eliminator. Effective on a broad-spectrum of virus, and bacteria, including “super bugs” like MRSA and H1N1, Vital Oxide breaks down to simple salt and produces no harmful by-products.
Vital Oxide is NSF certified D2 (No Rinse Required) as a food contact surface sanitizer, and kills 99.999% of bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella and Listeria in less than 60 seconds. Ready to use, no mixing required, just spray, wipe, or fog right from the bottle. Non-irritating to the skin, and non-corrosive to treated articles.
Vital Oxide is NSF certified to G7 and is acceptable for treating boilers, steam lines, and/or cooling systems where neither the treated water nor the steam produced may contact edible products in and around food processing areas.
Quick View Dilution Ratios
From mold and mildew control to disinfection of bacteria and viruses**, Vital Oxide can handle a long list of duties in a household or industrial setting. Vital Oxide can be diluted down for some specific applications.
Full Strength
Vital Oxide (EPA registration #829721) comes ready to use (RTU) as a full-strength hospital disinfectant for hard non-porous surfaces. Full strength is recommended for first-time use on surfaces and high traffic/high touch point surfaces. Full strength application is required for disinfection, mold and mildew control and heavy odor elimination.
5:1 Carpet and Rug Sanitizer
To Sanitize and Deodorize Carpets and Rugs:
- Mix 5-parts water to 1-part Vital Oxide.
- Spray onto surface from a distance of 6-8 inches.
- Work the product down to the carpet pad (a brush may be used)
- Allow enough ventilation to air dry.
- Repeat process as needed.
First test for color fastness in an inconspicuous space. Do not use on wool fabrics.
9:1 Food-Contact & Daily Surface Sanitizer
To Sanitize Food-Contact Surfaces:
- Mix 9-parts water to 1-part Vital Oxide.
- Spray onto surface from a distance of 6-8 inches, wetting thoroughly.
- Let stand for 1 minute (or longer if specified by government sanitary code).
- Allow surface to drain or air dry. Do not rinse or wipe.
To Sanitize Non-Food-Contact, Non-Porous Surfaces:
- Mix 9-parts water to 1-part Vital Oxide.
- Spray onto surface from a distance of 6-8 inches, wetting thoroughly.
- Let stand 5 minutes.
- Wipe and allow to air dry. No rinse required.
